Ogun State Government has started the demolition of all shanties and makeshift structures on walls of different schools across the state capital for security reasons

According to the Chair of the Ogun State Taskforce on Environmental Compliance and Enforcement who doubles as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment, Alhaji Farook Akintunde,the demolition is part of the State Government Safer School Initiative

“The State Government don’t want any shanty and makeshift structure near any school wall ” he added

The schools cleared of shanties and makeshift structures so far are St John Primary School, Kuto, Nawair Ud Deen Primary and High School at Oke Ijeun.
