Ogun State Takes Action Against River Pollution in Ajura!

The Ogun State Government is stepping up to protect our environment! Following a petition from the Ajura Youth Development Association, the state has sealed Harvest Feed and Processing Ltd after allegations that the factory was dumping wastewater into the Ajura Community River.

Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya, led an inspection team to the site and announced a full audit to assess the damage. “We are responsible for protecting our environment, and we will ensure this pollution is addressed,” he said.

Hon. Farouk Akintunde, Special Adviser on Environmental Protection, vowed that the company must comply with State regulations—no shortcuts!

In his reaction, the CEO of Harvest Feed and Processing Ltd, Alhaji Goke Adeyemi, promised immediate action, saying, “Not a single drop of wastewater will enter the river again.”

Oba Adebukola Taiwo, the Olu of Ajura Land, thanked the government for its swift response, while youth leader Mr. Michael Bamgboye expressed confidence in a lasting solution.
